Eleven employees of Caesars Oakland Medical Center tested positive for COVID after attending an out-of-state wedding, and six of them were infected with the super mutant Omicron variant. The hospital stated that the crew attended a wedding in Wisconsin on the Thanksgiving weekend, and one of 11 of them had traveled abroad recently. All employees have been vaccinated and given booster shots and have only mild symptoms. Although scientists are still trying to figure out how dangerous Omicron is, most of the few cases in the United States seem to be mild.
