As far as I know, there are not too many problems with the OLED switches here, @Pizzamorg.... They are definitely available in my city and online stores. Did you bring one? If you don't mind telling us, where are you now?

Not sure about the store, but I looked around online and all the places I could see were out of stock (I mean in the UK). Are you also in the UK? Which physical stores sell it?

Yes, I picked one up. I think it’s about 285 pounds, which is cheaper than buying directly from the UK. I think it’s about 310 pounds? I am in Lanzarote and my family lives here.

Well, Game has them in its online store, at least, @Pizzamorg...I put a few OLED boxes on the shelf when I was in my local store a few weeks ago, and I didn’t hear that it was particularly short. My parents went there once on vacation, but this is what I know, haha. Anyway, if it’s cheaper to get there, that sounds like a good idea

@Pizzamorg Be sure to stick a tempered glass screen protector. It is glass, but it has a plastic shatterproof film that can be scratched, fingerprints and dust are not easy to wipe off, but the oleophobic coating of tempered glass makes it as smooth as an ice rink.

okay, got it! I hate trying to use these screen protectors, but if OLED is necessary, I think I will try.

@Pizzamorg These are packages of 4, including an alignment frame.

Although I personally do it by hand, because dust may fall along the gaps in the alignment frame.

Step 1 Clean the screen thoroughly without streaks or dust. 2 Take a hot shower into the bathroom until the mirror fogs up 3 Wash your hair at least to prevent dandruff 4 Take off your shirt 5 Use Scotch tape and tap the screen to remove dust. Check from different angles under light 6 Take the scotch tape and tap the tempered glass on both sides, then remove the protective film. This can remove as much dust as possible from the screen during the application process. 7 After the screen is 100% clean and there is no dust, quickly tear off the protective layer, with the sticky side facing down, and throw the plastic on the floor. Important because there is dust in the air), and immediately apply 8 fingers to apply longitudinally along the middle of the tempered glass to force the air up and down. Leave the rest to gravity. 9 After expelling the air, press along the edges and corners as needed to expel the remaining air.

If you find a piece of dust under the glass after attaching the glass, please do the following: 1 Prepare the scotch tape and hang it on the edge of the counter. 2 Carefully tear off the glass from the corner to ensure that it does not break or touch the edge of the sticky object. . 3 Tap the screen dust with tape, and then tap the entire adhesive bottom surface of the glass. When cleaning, you never know where the new dust might be stuck. 4 Once you are sure that the screen is free of dust, there is no one piece, and you have tapped the entire adhesive side of the glass with tape, reapply

I used to repeat these steps 4 times with the same piece of glass, and finally got perfect. Sometimes you mess it up and have to use another one, but this method will make you try multiple times per cup on average. Contains 4, and you should be able to make it perfect before you run out.

This sounds daunting, but thanks for your guidance! I may not try this on Christmas Day because I can see myself getting very depressed, but in a few days I will sit down and give it a carnival.

In terms of games, I completed the S/S post-match content and the first DLC. I’m not sure if it’s just burned out or something (about 50 hours, a game played against me in more than a week, but I’m in On vacation, there are not many things to do, so we are there) but my feelings about these two things are definitely not as good as the main game.

First of all, when it comes to post-match S/S, I really don’t understand why this is not just a part of the main event? After about forty hours, the points roll, and then the game tells you that it is over. When you wake up in the bedroom, there is no initial indication that there is more content, so I want to know how many people just closed the game at this time and then missed what I said really important, considering how many main games are about Two legends.

To be honest, I don't quite understand the whole thing either. Although the character is very stupid, I at least understand the motivation of the villain in the later game. In fact, I can't really tell you what the motivation of the villain is, or the mechanism of any event or the internal logic of the ticking in the core game. I think this narrative is very good. It is easy to become the main narrative of the title, and there is no need for the chaotic environment information of the main title at all.

But for me, the main problem in the late game is how easy it is. I’m not sure why the boss/coach’s level is lower than Lyon, but it just means that I’m overdoing all of this and just overwhelming it. It felt like it was over in about five minutes. I did manage to capture my legend without using the master ball and saving the scum, so I am very satisfied with it.

For those who just want to fight blindly forever, have you also got the battle tower? Or maybe it is competitive? But it really didn't matter to me here, so I cleared a few levels and completely abandoned this mode.

So the first DLC is not necessarily bad, but it does feel like the least effort DLC they could have made. It's basically a new large wilderness area, but it's not really a new area at all, because it's actually a more limited version than the version in the core game I think. Its technical performance is indeed slightly better, but nothing more. I mean it's still very bad to appear suddenly, but I didn't find that the game will reach 5 fps when it is online like in the wild area in the core game.

You can also capture a new series of Pokemon (or returned Pokemon), but I don't know. There are some great designs that drive the "must catch all" core loop, but after completing the entire game and building a core team, I have no use for any new Pokemon. In fact, unique Pokemon is part of the story, and what you catch in the wild is usually worse than what I already have. In addition, given that the level in the DLC is lower than the end of the main story campaign in the core campaign, and because of new things such as friendship levels, most of the time I just cheat myself by swapping Pokemon.

So yes, if you are looking for any real matter, there is really nothing here. If you just want more of the same thing, then it can provide it, but not many, and there are not many reasons to justify it. About an hour of story content? By giving you this Pokemon, you can get 5 or 10. I think and you need to reach level 70 to advance the DLC. Is this filled to a very ridiculous degree? Force you to make a surprise attack, no matter how long it takes to get the Pokemon to the correct level. It's not an interesting rhythm mechanism at all.

Another thing is that when I was playing this, I couldn't help feeling that I was just playing some content that was removed from the core game, or it was not completed in time to be included in the main game, so they just sold it to me separately. For example, why can’t Pokémon follow us in the core game? And you face the gym leader in the core game of Gigantimaxed Pokemon, but unless you buy DLC, can't you do it yourself? ? ? Also like I said, there is nothing like the introduction of new types of Pokemon or brand new biomes or anything else. You can easily integrate it into the core game, it will not feel like a new experience, just part of a broader experience. I have to assume that this is exactly what it used to be.

Oh, well, head to Crown Tundra.

@Pizzamorg This is a bit cumbersome. But you should finish it in 30 minutes. It only needs to be done once, and then you can use it for many years.

I am also always afraid of having to do this, especially when I have so many Switches. But... it must be done.

@Pizzamorg I agree with you 100% after the game, and I feel very uncomfortable.

As for the first DLC? I really like it. There is hardly anything in the story, but as a person who really likes the exploration and collection of Pokemon, I am very happy. This helped me complete Galar dex at this point, so hunting down all new Pokemon is a priority for me. I also like Diglett hunting very much, and the island basically feels like an expanded and more diverse wild area. Maybe pausing the game will help you enjoy the DLC more? In other words, if you don't get any fun from the area itself/Pokemon, then you may be powerless.

I don't necessarily disagree with what you said. The wild area navigation in the first DLC is definitely more interesting than the wild area in the core game. Like I said, some new Pokemon have great designs. I just don't think it provides enough new things to prove that it is a mature paid DLC.

What's more confusing is that this is not DLC, it's just a late game of the core battle, so I just don't know why they balance it this way.

@Pizzamorg Woops means post-match, not DLC. But yes, this... terrible.

I am the same as you in this respect. I don't necessarily want to be hard, but things can only be that easy before it feels a bit pointless. Maybe it will get better throughout the core activities, but the time I spent in SwSh felt that way to me.

Although I do agree that it is easier, I have no real problems with the curve of the core battle. Many JRPGs use forced grinding as an artificial rhythm mechanism. However, I feel that every time I take S/S to a new location, we are basically on the same level. As a result, most of my gym leaders' fights were very close, and I lost a few times. Because of the type advantage, I completely brag about it, but I kind of hate the whole conversation.

People are so picky about Pokemon’s rock-paper-scissors foundation, but so many games use exactly the same system and get praise for it. I think it's cool to rampage on Pokemon because it's not as popular as some other similar games. (By the way, this is not for you, just general). I just like that Pokemon still uses a streamlined turn-based system. I am tired of every turn-based JRPG with some kind of additional novelty or twist, which only spoils my experience. I like traditional turn-based games.

I would say that a few times my level is a bit insufficient, but the game makes it quite easy to close the small gap. However, this may also be because I did not deliberately capture every Pokemon and search every inch of the map, etc. So it may be more me than a game.

However, if my memory is good, I believe Lyon’s strongest Pokemon is 66. So why is it everything from 61 to 63 to enter the late game? After defeating Lyon, you must reach level 70 or so, so by this time you have already exceeded the level by a large margin. Like, I’m glad it won’t suddenly raise everything to level 100 or do something for the late game, so you have to hone 30 levels to participate in it, but they showed in the core campaign that they can create one The curve of natural flow, why did they give up in the end? I think we will never know.

So, I want to try the new Shantae and the changes in the final mode of the seven sirens. The game is on my Switch Phat and can be played at any time. Split Pad Pro connected to the console is objectively the most comfortable way for me to enjoy games in handheld mode.

However, I spared no effort to re-download it on my Lite, and now I am waiting for the download to complete.

Sometimes I question why I even own Lite, but, for whatever reason, it does feel like a different system to me, and even on it compared to the larger model in handheld mode It also feels more natural to play some games.

Once you start looking at skills, properties, etc., @Pizzamorg Pokemon’s battles are actually very deep, which becomes important in multiplayer games. If the game allows you to interact with their mechanics in single player mode and has a better XP gain scaling/level balance, then they will be very satisfying to play.

But there is no real benefit to talking to GF about the way they make games. They are very similar to Nintendo, because they tend to do whatever they want, and games are selling well anyway, so online abdominal pain is often a bit pointless.

SwSh continues to be one of the best-selling generations in the entire series and is still the most interesting thing for me because it comes from months of hate activity in multiple Pokemon communities. It really just solidifies how little online consensus is about what really matters.

@Ralizah You are telling me! My sister likes the competitive side, so when she starts to explore nature and the right items, you can hold, use, and move the order to make the most of Pokemon, I'm like... a holy ****! Are Pokemon always so complicated? ! She must play next to the Excel spreadsheet! Ha ha.

But yes, I really don't know what the correct answer is. I also prefer games that allow you to really participate in the depths of its mechanics, but if you push too much in this direction, I think a lot of the fun of the streamlined Pokemon experience will be lost. The difficulty is the same. If the game is harder, it might make me feel frustrated, which is what I don't want. Similarly, if I really have to worry about all the things my sister does in her competitive circle just to pass the regular campaign, I personally think it won't be very interesting.

Like I said, I think S/S has some objective issues, some subjective issues, and some completely disproportionate issues. I will never try to convince anyone that it is a masterpiece, and it must be an excellent game even by traditional metrics, but it is the only one on my Switch that is not soaring high and irritating. A game of trading between low points. It just exists in this happy place between the two. I can understand why this disappoints some people, especially those diehard fans who have been there, but this is not my position.

Pizzamorg is everywhere in my @handle. My friend's code is: SW-6997-6872-4381 The currently playing Switch game: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Cycle hero. The ring is suitable for adventure. Luigi's Mansion 3. Mario + Mad Rabbit Kingdom Battle.

@Pizzamorg @Ralizah I personally think that the core game mechanics of Pokemon are the last thing in the series that no one should criticize. Although it is simple on the surface ("Rock Paper Scissors"), over the years, there have been many hidden depths to keep the competitive scene strong. However, the content of single-player games in games is usually very simple, and casual players can view the gameplay as "simplification."

Obviously the game mechanics need to evolve over time to keep it fresh, but I think this should be a slow and steady evolution rather than a revolution (Pokemon has been split in special statistics, weather/terrain, nature and physics. Relatively large game changes/particular splits).

I think anyone interested in Pokemon as a concept but not interested in the core combat mechanics should consider the many Pokemon derivatives there.
