Admission to the opening ceremony. Beth compared Tony D'Angelo threatening Loomis' family with Seth Rollins threatening Edge and her family. Lumis showed a canvas with a cartoon of D'Angelo "Sleeping with the Fish"...
1. Tony D'Angelo vs. Dexter Lumis. D'Angelo ran away from Loomis and started the game. Lumis grabbed D'Angelo with a heavy blow in his throat and the pressure of thesz. D'Angelo successfully locked Lumis on his head, and then used a Body Slam. After escaping Lumis's suffocation attempt, D'Angelo threw Lumis's portrait canvas into the ring. The referee was distracted by throwing away the canvas. D'Angelo poked Lumis in the eye with his thumb and won a fisherman's back knife for Lumis.
Tony D'Angelo defeated Dexter Loomis at 3:06.
When Loomis sat up, D'Angelo ran away. Carmelo Hayes and Trik Williams attacked Loomis from behind and passed the boots to Loomis. Melo stomped on the chair with the rope and took Lumis's hand. Johnny Galgano ran out to chase the heel away from the ring...[c]
John's thoughts: There is nothing interesting here. The interesting decision is here for Tony D'Angelo. I don't think he clicked well here. They tried to tell a story involving Melo, Gargano, and Lumis. D'Angelo didn't click here to show that his monophonic gimmick is limited. D'Angelo may not be ready for a longer game either, because he has done little to do against long-time veteran Lumis here.
The footage during the break shows Indi Hartwell and Johnny Gargano helping the injured Lumis to the back...
Standing in the middle of the ring, Johnny Gargano talked about Carmelo Hayes personalizing things. He said that all he wanted to do was to prove that he was a better wrestler by defeating Merlot to win the championship, but now he is messing up with Johnny's son-in-law. Johnny said that when you mess up with Johnny's family, Johnny will kick your teeth into your throat. Pete Dunne enters. Dunn said that Gargano is trying to make his way to the title, even though Dunn defeated Hayes last week. Gargano pointed out that he helped Dunn win last week.
Carmelo Hayes' theme song is Melo and Trick appearing in the balcony area of the performance center. The trick does some rhyme. Dunn asked who Tricker was. Gargano said that Trick was the person carrying the Melo bag. Melon talked about becoming the king of the new school. Dunn told Melon to shut up. Dunn said he was the same age as Melo, but Dunn had 10 years more experience than Melo. Dunn said he also defeated Merlot.
Melo said Gargano and Dunn could win at the same time. Melo said that the North American championship is the most important championship in NXT, and he will defend it next week. Melon made his "Don't Miss" slogan. Gargano admitted that he knew that Melon would not be missed. Gargano said Melo has been here for 6 months, but Gargano has been here for 5 years. Gargano said that when he was in the ring, the match was "not to be missed." Gargano says you don't want to miss the triple threat game next week...
Vic Joseph hyped the Duke of Hudson's "Poker Showdown" against Cameron Grams...
John's thoughts: The promotional video here is very good, involving pictures of North American champions. Melo is a bit right, since he won the championship, he has actually increased its reputation (although Swerve Scott is great, he did take the championship hostage in order to fight for the trio's discord). With Dunn, Gargano and Merlot, NXT's North American championship picture looks more attractive than the current world championship picture suspended after the Ciampa and Breaker game. Another positive factor in this promo is that Dunn and Melon look better on the microphone. Dunn in particular has been struggling with sales promotion, but has gotten better in the past 6 months or so.
Malcolm Bivens and Diamond Mine in the locker room. Diamond Mine is arguing, and Bivens is using a promotional video to promote his team. Joe Gacy appeared and talked about how he shared common ground with the diamond mine. Bivins said that if Gacy wants to join the diamond mine, he must participate in the selection. Bivins handed Gacy a business card and said if he wanted to do business with him, he would call him...[c]
The Los Angeles Cavaliers video package aired. Knight talked about being a superstar without a watch or jewelry. He said his goal at NXT is to become the new NXT champion. Knight talked about the appearance of Grayson Waller to get in his way. Knight deleted some promos, saying that Waller is not a superstar...
John's thoughts: If I were a senior in NXT 2.0, I would try to find a way to promote Knight to the main event. A man is money! His microphone is great, and people underestimate his performance in the ring. Not to mention, Knight enhanced his promotional game by abandoning his rock style.
The diamond mine is in the ring. Next is one of my favorite entry themes in professional wrestling today, the Ikeman Jiro theme. Odyssey Jones went crazy after jacket time...
2. "Diamond Mine" Roderick Strong, Julius Creed and Brutus Creed (w/Malcolm Bivens, Hachiman, Ivy Nile) vs. Odyssey Jones and "Jacket Time" Kushida and Ikeman Jiro. Strong and Jiro started the game. The strong dominated the collar and elbows, and laughed at Odyssey Jones. Jones joins. Forced to join Julius to avoid Jones. Jones hit Julius with a lasso. Jones and Jacket Time traded quick tags to maintain a digital advantage over Julius. Julius successfully caught Jiro with the butterfly suplex and jumped out from the corner.
Brutus marked to come in. Brutus planted Jiro with Gutwrench Suplex. Strong is marked in. Jiro escaped Strong's control and was marked to Kushida. Kushida hit Strong with his handstand kick combination. Kushida cleans the room with the three members of the diamond mine. The powerful Kita uses a north lasso. The program switches to picture-in-picture. [c]
Julius hit Jiro with a heavy blow. The diamond mine cut Jiro's ring in half with an orderly attack. Jiro succeeded in hitting Odyssey Jones. Jones cleans the house. Strong Jones staggered with enzuigiri. Strong then impressively used the angled Grand Slam tossed around Odyssey Jones. Kushida and Jiro gave Strong a punch combination. Jones recovered and hit Strong with a running messenger bag to win.
Odyssey Jones and Jacket Time defeated Diamond Mine in 8 minutes and 42 seconds.
Vic Joseph pointed out that this should be considered a kind of anxiety. The replay showed that Bivin’s distraction was counterproductive, which made Strong’s opponents group him into three...
John's thought: There is not much movement in this game, because it is mainly behind the picture-in-picture. Diamond Mine is still much better than when they made their debut, but I was shocked that they still lost to them so many losses. At least this time they can absorb some losses, but hope they will not accumulate, because this team only has so many losses to recover to an insignificant state. Although I like Jiro's gimmick and entrance theme, I think he really pulls Kushida back like an anchor. If they are to "back to the future" and Kushida returns to his Marty McFly gimmick, can NXT sign Alex Shelley so we can get the return of the Time Splitter? My wishful thinking...

3. Andrew Chase vs. Xyon Quinn. Chase managed to defeat Quinn with chain wrestling. Quinn caught Andre's kick and gave him an atomic bomb. Quinn hit Chase with a series of lasso. Chase came back with a neckbreaker, let alone two. Quinn puts on Quinn boots while doing cheerleading routines. Chase worked on Quinn with his elbow. Chase reversed the elbow to Murphy's law. Quinn hit Chase with a jackhammer to win.
Xyon Quinn defeated Andre Chase in 3:06 seconds.
Joaquin Wilde and Raul Mendoza ran out to attack Xyon Quinn. Quinn managed to resist Wilde and Mendoza. Santos Escobar hit Quinn in the back of the neck with a club, giving Legado the advantage. Legado fixed Quinn in place so that Elektra could tell him "No one said no to Elektra Lopez." Santos Escobar hit Quinn on the metal floor next to the circus...
John's thoughts: I'm surprised they let Quinn be ruled by Chase so much in a period of time, but he finally managed to force it with a jackhammer. I didn't have high hopes for the story of Quinn and Elektra Lopez, but I have to say that I was a little curious because I didn't know what they would think. It may be as simple as a game between Quinn and Escobar on the road (Escobar's methodical ring general style may allow Quinn to have a great game). I don't think Quinn will "go to the dark side" because they seem to be shaping him into a white-flesh baby face, especially the entire "cool gentleman" character.
The commentary team signed in from the circus. Vic hyped the Grimes and Hudson poker game...[c]
McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Raquel Gonzalez about facing Dakota Kai later in the show. Gonzalez talked about the importance of this title to her and how Dakota took it from behind with a shovel. Gonzalez said that Kay was jealous of Gonzalez's success because Kay could not defeat Gonzalez. Gonzalez said Kay had better take her shovel into the game because she wanted to use it to bury Kay...
Alicia Taylor hosted the "Poker Showdown" between Hudson and Grimes in the ring. This will actually be real Texas Hold'em. Alicia Taylor announced the rules of No-Limit Texas Hold'em...
4. Cameron Grimes played Texas Hold'em against Duke Hudson. Hudson called everyone a loser. Hudson said he made Grimes his bitch. Grimes said these things are important, but Hudson looked nervous. Grimes said Hudson looked like Shaq on the free throw line. Grimes talked about Hudson's performance in the poker room. Grimes started the game with King-3 Spades. He placed a bet of $500. Hudson raised to $1,000 and Grimes called. Hudson has a pair of 5's Club Diamond.
The flop showed 5-Jack-10 full flush. More bets follow. The queen of spades was revealed, which gave Grimes a potential straight draw. More bets follow. The river card was a 7 of hearts, which gave Hudson a technical victory of 3 out of 5. Grimes laughed at Hudson, talked about Hudson's ball, and went all-in. Hudson tensed, saying that Grimes' smile indicated that he was in the same flower as the red heart. Duke folded.
Cameron Grimes won the poker game against Duke Hudson with a bluff at 6 minutes and 52 seconds.
Hudson shook Cameron's hand and was shocked to find that he had lost because of Cameron's bluff. The crowd bathed him with the slogan "You were played". Hudson gave Grimes a gang kick and then gave Grimes his boots. Hudson's power bombed Grimes through the poker table. Before leaving the ring, Hudson trimmed Cameron's beard and ponytail (trimmed, not shaved)...
John's thoughts: Uh. What? I just reviewed the professional wrestling poker part. why? Poor Brandon Wink. Dude wrestled for the world-class Tag Team in TMDK's Pro Wrestling Noah, and then became a regular poker player in WWE. For me, the silver lining is that WWE still seems to rate Grimes very highly. I kind of hope that WWE can turn on these two guys. Give Hudson an unattractive gimmick and make Grimes a serious professional wrestler with comedic advantage.
Kyle O'Reilly and von Wagner are in the background. O'Reilly joked that Wagner was Adam Pierce's bodyguard. They talked about handling business after a break...[c]
5. Kyle O'Reilly and Von Wager play against Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen. Ole kicked Jensen away with Muay Thai. Jensen slammed back. Brooks marked and removed O'Reilly with a shoulder shovel. Imperium is watching the game in the background (they are not standing next to the TV). Wagner joins and confronts Briggs. Wagner knocked Briggs down with his flying forearm.
O'Reilly joined the strike and worked on Briggs. O'Reilly hit Jensen with Yakuza Kick. Briggs hit O'Reilly with Yakuza Kick. Briggs and Jensen exchanged quick tags, halving O'Reilly's ring. Wagner marks and hits Jensen with Gutwrench Suplex. Wagner hit Jensen with a Flatliner. O'Reilly threw Briggs to the side of the circus and hit Briggs with a diving knee. Wagner hit Jensen with the Twisting Butterfly Suplex (which looks a bit bulky) and won.
Von Wagner and Kyle O'Reilly defeated Brooks Jensen and Josh Briggs in a tie at 5:00.
Converse in foreign languages between empires. The subtitles tell us that they are talking about how O'Reilly and Wagner are not at the level of the empire, even though they are improving...
John's thoughts: Hmm. The word "eh" almost sums up the doubles between O'Reilly and Wagner. Kyle O'Reilly, Mr. Tag Team expert, Mr. ROH and New Japan outstanding person. He is money. Wagner was green outside like a hell, looking like a lost child, his chemical reaction with O'Reilly was zero. Talk about Anchors and call him Von Anchor.
Persia Pirotta told Indi Hartwell that their match was the next match, but Indi said she must stay behind because they are taking Dexter Lumis to a local medical institution to check his hand. Persia said she can handle doubles matches by herself so Hartwell can be with her husband...[c]
The show switched to Lashing Out with Lash Legend. Last week when Lash tried to talk about Kay Lee Ray and Toxic Attraction crossing the road, Grayson Waller appeared to "sprinkle tea." He talked about how the Los Angeles Cavaliers said Waller did not pay the price he deserved to become an NXT superstar.
Waller said that WWE was right to call him after his reality show experience, while others had to work hard for their careers (well, commendably, the Los Angeles Cavaliers also participated in Dwayne Johnson Reality show). Waller laughed at the independent wrestler and was booed. Waller said it's about "likes and attention." Waller left, Rush ended the show...
John's thought: It's a bit clumsy to get here, but I like that they seem to be turning to Waller's heel. He becomes a little annoying, and his annoying job is more like a bad guy. Does this make LA Knight an "independent darling baby face"?
6. Persia Pirotta plays with Gabby Stephens and Jenny Levy in a handicap match. Persia repelled two opponents. Robert Stone appeared at the top of the ramp. Persia grabbed an opponent with a kicked gangster. Persia gave other opponents a forearm. Persia placed both opponents on the firefighters and hit them with a Samoan airdrop. Persia defeated an opponent in F5 and won.

John's thoughts: There is nothing here other than the joking about Robert Stone's recruitment of Pirotta. As Stone returned to the annoying Robbie E mode, this teasing was useless to me. I also gained some respect for Pirotta. Yes, she is a bit vibrant, but a few weeks ago, when Jacy Jayne fell on her head during a game, she did put in a lot of effort in that improvisational situation, she couldn’t No impromptu match with Shirai Yves for more than 10 minutes. In the women's ladder competition of the Halloween catastrophe, she did play her role. Because of her bravery, Pirotta is my supporter.
McKenzie Mitchell interviewed Dakota Kai in response to an earlier interview with Gonzalez. Kay joked about hitting MacKenzie with a shovel and said she felt good about hitting Raquel with a shovel. Kay said she had lost her way since wrestling with Gonzalez in Takeover. She said she must get rid of the past, which means she must get rid of Raquel. John's thoughts: Well, at least it's better than being a "Tik Tok Tag Team". That being said, why does NXT 2.0 broadcast all their brainstorming instead of experimenting with gimmicks in closed doors and family performances?
NXT champion Tommaso Ciampa enters the stadium with a microphone. He said he was here to vent. He said that people like Carmelo Hayes ran around and said they had an A title. Ciampa said that if Melo shoots in his direction, he will shoot a damn balloon. Ciampa then called Grayson Waller a bitch (for some reason, I agree with this). Ciampa talked about Waller mocking Indians. Ciampa was about to call Tony D'Angelo, but Bron Breakker came in.
Breakker made Rick Steiner bark on the way to the ring. Breakker talked about how people like Waller or Hayes angered Ciampa, but it didn't make any sense to Breakker, because Breakker only cared about taking the NXT championship from Ciampa. Ciampa asked to make a truck to show the ending of the Halloween catastrophe. The video shows that Ciampa defeated the circuit breaker in the Halloween catastrophe. Ciampa said that Breakker has a 33 1/2% chance of defeating Ciampa to win the NXT championship.
John's thoughts: Hey! According to reports, isn't Petty Williams working with WWE recently? Let's bring back Steiner Bros with Rex Steiner and Little Petey Pump! No, we don't want it. My child. But I do like the references they keep to Steiners. Scotty's Samoa Joe math promo may be wrong. Speaking of Joe, where is that guy?

John's thoughts: Ciampa's interesting promo. Are they setting the hatred of NXT 1.0 and New Blood for the war game? This reminds me of the dispute between ECW Originals and New Blood from WWEECW (imo actually did a good job). It is strange that if Breakker is on the side of New Blood, because they clearly position the NXT 2.0 wrestler as high heels. Oops, they positioned LA F'n Knight as the baby face of the team's veteran.

Kai hit Gonzalez against the second rope with a dragon screw and a wash kick. Kai designed several pairs of short boots for Gonzalez. Kay and Gonzalez exchanged head bumps on the top rope. Kay slammed Gonzalez on the bottom button and washed her face twice. Gonzalez recovered and gave Kay a suffocation bomb. Gonzalez regained strength through successive strikes. Kay removed the buckle pad at the bottom and took the blow from Gonzalez. Gonzalez hit Kay with a twisted Vader bomb, forgetting two.
Kay escapes Gonzalez's Chingona Bomb attempt. Kai rolled Gonzalez and counted two. Kai blocked the Scorpion kick and made Kai spin the helicopter. Kai gave Gonzalez an STO to insert the exposed turnbuckle. Kaiben wanted to hit Gonzalez with a shovel, but Gonzalez kicked Kai and grabbed the shovel. Toxic Attraction appeared and defeated Gonzalez to obtain DQ.
Raquel Gonzalez defeated Dakota Kai with a clear DQ at 11:50.
Kay gave Gonzalez a chainsaw kick. Cora Jade appeared and attacked Jayne and Dolan with a skateboard. Rose managed to escape the catastrophe and took Jed down. Zoey Strike came in, but she staggered on crutches. Shirai Io borrowed one of Stark's crutches and knocked down his heel in the ring. The baby face removed the heel from the ring. Yves Shirai picked up the microphone and shouted "War Game"...
John's idea: Compared with the actual game, it is more about setting the angle of the war game. I agree with this. Save the actual Kai and Gonzalez singles matches for a bigger takeover/PPV show. NXT tends to do a solid job for their survivor series version, because the war game competition is built around actual stories. Yes, this is still a bit hasty, but at the same time the two teams have good reasons to hate each other.
Due to the good combination of game quality and story development, last week's NXT was better than this week. This week’s show does have a goal, it is to start building a war game. The women’s war games seem to have been scheduled. Don’t you know that the last member of the Babyface team is Kay Lee Ray? Men's clothing is interesting. This is the first time that NXT has no undisputed era without war games. It seems that they may be working hard for the NXT 1.0 and NXT 2.0 game? Interestingly, they are making all 2.0 high heels (according to Ciampa's list). I want to know if they let Breakker team up with old-school guys because of Breakker's family pedigree. Oops, can Samoa Joe participate in a war game? Ciampa's mention of Scott Steiner's Math Promo about Samoa Joe actually made me wonder where Joe is.
