Kia Carens modified with diamond cut alloy wheels, music system upgrade, LED headlamps and more; The 6/7 seater MPV is priced from Rs. 9.60 lakh to Rs. 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom); Comes in multiple powertrain options.

Kia Carens is one the most practical and affordable 6/7 seater MPV in the country. The highlight is the standard safety equipment on board the four-wheeler along with the sheer technology and practicality that the MPV brings to the table. Having said this, the MPV is adequately loaded even in the lower trims, being very modification friendly at the same time. To begin with, the Carens have got a new set of diamond cut alloy wheels, which are really going well with the car’s overall stance and white colour. These alloy wheels are 16-inch units from the Venue Facelift, offered in SX and SX(O) trims. The hub caps get the Kia logo in red colour. For reference, the Carens comes with 15-inch (195/65) steel wheels with full cover in the base premium and prestige 1.5 petrol trim, while the 1.5 diesel and 1.4 turbo petrol gets 16-inch (205/65) steel wheels with full cover. From the Prestige Plus variant onwards, Kia offers 16-inch dual-tone crystal cut alloy wheels. The headlights get a major upgrade in form of an Osram CBI Pro LED projector setup along with LED DRLs (Day Time Running Lights).

The cabin of the Carens is modified with an all-new Persian Green colour theme which really makes it stand out. The dashboard, door pads, and steering wheels along with the front arm and rear armrests are draped in leather using the same colour theme. Other major upgrades to the interiors include active ambient lights and two sets of Sony ES Series component speakers along with a 4-channel Sony XM-GS4 amplifier for a better sound experience inside the cabin.

The presenter also showcases the illumination of the upgraded lighting setup at the night and it seems quite good with ample throw.

Kia Carens is offered in 5 trim levels, namely Premium, Prestige, Prestige Plus, Luxury and Luxury Plus. The price range of the MPV starts from Rs. 9.60 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes all the way up to Rs. 17.70 lakh (ex-showroom). The standard safety pack on the four wheeler include 6 airbags, ESC (Electronic Stability Program), VSM (Vehicle Stability Management), Brake Assist, HAC (Hill-Start Assist Control), DBC (Downhill Brake Control), ABS, All Wheel Disc Brakes, Highline Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, Rear Parking Sensors and more. Some of the prominent tech features on board the Carens include a 10.25 inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, Bose 8 speaker premium sound system, 64 colours ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, smart air purifier and wireless charging with cooling functions amongst others. The 3 engine options offered in the MPV include Smartstream 1.5 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, 1.5 litre CRDi diesel engine and 1.4-litre tGDi turbo petrol engine.
