The Finnish melody metal shaper Amorphis returns with Halo. Their new album will be released next year, and they have just released a music video for their first single "The Moon".

This is their eighth time since the double-threat singer Tomi Joutsen joined the band in 2004. He also collected additional re-recorded classic material, which allowed the studio to release a total of nine copies under his leadership. Album. At the lyrical end, Amorphis once again collaborated with long-time collaborator Pekka Kainulainen, whose storytelling was inspired by Kalevala, a 19th-century epic work that intertwined folklore and mythology to tell the creation story of the earth.

"As a band, we can still make very decent music, which is really a great feeling," said guitarist and founding member Esa Holopainen. "Perhaps some kind of self-criticism and long-term experience culminated in these latest albums. It is fully recognizable Amorphis from beginning to end, but compared with the previous work, the overall atmosphere is heavier, more progressive, and more organic."

Joutsen added, "For me, "Halo" sounds more concise than "Queen of Time" and "Under the Red Clouds." But don't get me wrong-when a song needs to sound When it's big, it sounds big."

Kainulainen weighed the above-mentioned lyrical themes and explained: “Halo is a loose theme record full of adventure stories about the mythical north tens of thousands of years ago. The lyrics tell an ancient era when humans were at war. Wandering on these abandoned northern borders after the end. The Ice Age. While describing the revival of a pioneering culture in a world full of new opportunities, I also tried to touch the eternal power of the human mind."
