After players expressed disappointment with the system, Apex Legends Season 13 looks to rework the Ranked mode with big changes.

The Apex Legends Season 13 update will bring some pretty major changes to the Ranked Leagues system, which many in the community have been asking for.

Apex Legends Season 13 has officially been revealed as “Saviors,” with the April 25 and gameplay trailers revealing more details on the new Legend, Newcastle.

As well as trailers, the reveal also brought a new blog from Respawn which has detailed all of the changes that the Ranked Leagues mode will be getting in Season 13. There are some pretty big changes to the system in the new update, so let’s get into them.

Respawn Entertainment are calling the major changes to Apex Legends’ competitive mode “Ranked Reloaded.” The focus is set on two goals:

The devs over at Respawn are making some pretty hefty changes to the system, hoping that the changes will bring more focus on teamplay and also a more accurate RP per “overall game skill” representation.

In Season 13, there will no longer be a “Kill RP Cap.” Instead, the base value of each kill is worth increasingly less, down to a minimum.”

This essentially means that as you gain kills there will be a decrease in the amount of RP that it earns. Instead of kills and assists having a cap, players will continue to earn RP for every kill they get, but the more they kill, the fewer points it rewards.

The devs have also decided to pull down the KP gains for placing worse than 10th. This will make it more difficult for players to gain just based on KP, giving more importance to placement. However, getting placement without kills will also result in little RP, so it seems a balance has been met between KP and placement RP.

Players will also now receive 50% of the RP for kills that the player did not contribute towards, which does not include teammates that are dead.

As for the new Assist Rules, the previous assist timer was 10 seconds, which the devs feel was “too short.” Thus, in Season 13, this will be increased to 15 seconds. Although this isn’t a massive difference, five seconds is a lot of time in the midst of battle, and clearly, the devs are hoping it’s enough to satisfy and make a difference in-game.

Further, there is another change coming for the Assist Rules in Season 13, “if an enemy you helped knock is revived and immediately downed again by one of your allies, you’ll still be eligible for an assist credit.”

This is great as it means players won’t be missing out on KP simply because the person they knocked was revived, which is the correct change as they still helped put the enemy player in that situation.

RP will also be getting a change in Season 13. The RP thresholds are being adjusted for each tier and division with the intention of keeping the “difficulty and effort to achieve them relatively the same.”

As the description of “Rise and fall through the Ranks” suggested, for Apex Legends Season 13, players will be demoted if they are unable to gain RP at the bottom of a rank.

Players will get “demotion protection” for three games, but once this is over, “dropping below the tier threshold will trigger a demotion penalty, dropping the player halfway down the previous division.”

For example, if you get demoted from the Master’s rank, you will be taken down to halfway through Diamond 1. Further, new to Season 13, players will get a “100 RP Tier Promotion Bonus,” giving players a chance to progress before being demoted straight away.

Further, players will now be granted the rewards for the highest RP threshold achieved.

Previously, Bronze was the first Tier players would have to start grinding at. In Season 13, a brand new Introductory Tier called “Rookie” will be before Bronze to give starting players a nice place to begin their journey.

This Tier is intended for new players and so existing players are “unaffected by the introduction of the Rookie Tier, and can not be demoted into it, and likewise will not be reset into it on new splits or seasons.”

Apex Legends Season 13 Ranked Reloaded also brings some huge changes to the RP Entry Costs. Now, there will be an increase in RP entry cost for every division within a rank.

So, for example, a player in Division 4 of Platinum will have an Entry cost of 51. For players in Division 1 of Platinum, they will have an entry cost of 60. There is an increase of three RP every time you increase your division within a rank.

However, for those in Masters rank, the entry cost will increase by 5 RP every time a player reaches 1000 RP beyond the Master threshold. This will increase by 5 all the way until the entry cost reaches 175 RP, which is the cap.

The RP difference between killing a player in a different tier to you has also been adjusted:

Lastly, Respawn have finally implemented a fix for when teams are wrongly given KP after eliminating downed enemies that had been knocked by an eliminated team. Now, these downed enemies will not be given as KP to any teams.

Apex Legends Season 13 is well underway, but who has dominated the pick rates for Season 13 of Respawn’s battle royale so far?

Season 13 of Apex Legends has tons of characters to choose from to enjoy its several maps. But who has the top Season 13 pick rates in Respawn Entertainment’s battle royale shooter?

Apex Legends hit the ground running when it launched with eight different characters to choose from in its battle royale offering. The game suffered a notable lull when Call of Duty: Warzone launched, but with many popular streamers such as NICKMERCS and Dr Disrespect continuing to support the game, Apex is continuing to grow expeditiously.

There are now a whopping 21 different Legends to choose from, giving players a headache before each game. With Season 13 now underway, Newcastle is the latest to join the roster.

Let’s take a look at how the new Legend has shaken up the roster by looking at the current Legend pick rates in Season 13, which provides an idea of who the most popular Legends are.

This is our complete list of every character pick in Apex Legends, and we’ve ranked them in order to let you know which are favored.

Here is every Apex Legends pick rate in Season 13 ranked, as of May 27, 2022, according to Apex Legends Status:

Pathfinder has consistently been one of Apex Legends’ top five picks at 8.1%, and counting, for quite some time now.

As a Recon class, Pathfinder simply excels in movements and traversing the game’s various maps. His Grappling Hook and Zipline Gun are simply invaluable assets that will help any team in a pinch – either because of the circle or a third-party situation. He consistently manages to stay in the top 5 as a result.

Again, with the influx of new Apex Legends players, Bloodhound is a great character to use for new players in Season 13.

Bloodhound nearly always stays in and around the 8-11% mark as a season goes on, and they currently stand at 9.1%. They are easily the top Recon class to use in Apex Legends, thanks to their tracking tools and incredible skills, plus, their Beast of the Hunt Ultimate is priceless.

Despite getting some nerfs, Valkyrie is in the top 5 Legend pick rates for Season 13 with 9.6%, as she is the movement Queen. Her Jetpack Passive allows players to escape any kind of situation, which is crucial for survivability.

As well as her Passive, her Skyward Dive Ultimate is also great for mobility. This ability is the best rotational tool in all of Apex Legends, as it allows her and the team to relocate from a bad position or situation, into a good one.

Lastly, Valkyrie’s Tactical is also extremely useful for being aggressive and getting enemies out of camping spots, so long as you have enough room above you to launch the Missile Swarm.

With a 10.5% pick rate, the speed demon takes the number two spot, continuing his reign as one of the most popular Legends in Season 13, fluctuating between the top two places.

Aside from his amusing quips, he is the perfect balance of offense and defense. Despite being regarded as an offensive Legend, Octane can greatly increase his sprint speed which is useful for both attack and running away.

But most Octane users thrive on his Launch Pad Ultimate which can send him, and friendly players, high up into the air.

Another starting Legend, Wraith has been a consistent pick throughout Apex Legends’ lifetime, and she has taken the number one spot with a 10.8% pick rate in Season 13.

Wraith’s stand-out features are her ability to get out of trouble very quickly – teammates included. Her abilities allow her to sense danger, become temporarily invulnerable, and create portals to escape predicaments. It’s easy to see why Wraith continues to be an absolute fan favorite in Apex Legends Season 13.

That covers all the picks in Apex Legends Season 13. As always, buffs and nerfs will come and go throughout the season, altering the game’s meta, and subsequently, Legend pick rates.

We’ll be sure to keep this updated regularly so you can stay on top of the in picks and don’t forget to check out our guide on the best Legends to choose in Season 13.

Apex Legends has been increasingly in popularity and has now become the most streamed game on Twitch after releasing Season 13,

Apex Legends Season 13 has surpassed its competitors and become the most streamed game on Twitch, which is a testament to the game’s increasing popularity.

2022 marked the third year anniversary of Apex Legends, and while some games may enter a decline after being around for this period of time, Respawn’s battle royale continues to grow.

With the game now in its thirteenth season, Apex Legends offers an abundance of content and a massive community to get involved in, especially now that the game has been brought to the mobile community.

One of the best ways the community can engage and entertain is through Twitch, as Apex Legends has become the platform’s most-streamed game.

Despite some server issues for console players that have now been fixed, Apex Legends Season 13 has been Respawn’s most popular season so far.

This isn’t just thanks to more popular content creators and streamers such as NICKMERCS and Dr Disrespect being interested in the game, but also because of the great content and gameplay that the free-to-play shooter offers.

Since Apex Legends Season 13 launched, the battle royale game has become the most-streamed game on Twitch, edging it over competitors like Valorant, Fortnite, and Warzone.

Apex Legends has been streamed a total of 1,781,223 hours, taking the number one spot since the launch of Season 13 back on May 10.

With more content to come for the game this season, including an anime-themed event and summer store takeover, we expect Apex Legends to continue growing in popularity.

We’ll have to wait and see how long Respawn can keep this up for, especially with all the hype around Warzone 2.

Apex Legends Mobile has arrived on Android and iOS. Here’s everything you need to know about the game’s controller support.

Apex Legends Mobile is finally here, but some players still prefer to use a trusty controller over the touchscreen controls. Here’s everything we know about Apex Legends Mobile’s controller support.

After months of playtests, Apex Legends Mobile was finally released on Android and iOS on May 17, 2022. It features many of the same Legends and weapons as the main game, as well as the mobile-exclusive Fade, all on your mobile phone or tablet.

But even with its fully-fledged touchscreen controls, some players prefer having a controller in their hands when playing first-person shooters. Here’s everything we know about Apex Legends Mobile’s controller support.

Apex Legends Mobile does not have controller support at launch but the devs have confirmed that it’s on the way.

Speaking at a press event ahead of Apex Mobile’s launch, the developers said they understand that many prefer to use a controller over the touchscreen controls. “It is super important for us, we understand usability issues, and how much fun it is,” explained one of the devs.

They confirmed that controller support is in the works for Apex Legends Mobile but unfortunately, it didn’t make it to the game for launch.

While there’s no concrete timeframe, Apex Legends Mobile’s developers confirmed that controller support should come in the “very near future.”

They explained that “We’re actively exploring [controller support] but haven’t quite got it right.” When exactly it will arrive is anyone’s guess, but it should be here before the end of 2022.

Apex Legends Mobile will not support Controllers at launch, but the developers are working on it. Controller support should come in the "very near future."

Although there is no official support for it, players can actually pair their Bluetooth controller with their phone and use it. The controllers that are compatible and can pair with your mobile device include the following:

Simply activate the pairing mode for the controller and find it on your mobile’s Bluetooth devices section. This will allow you to use the controller on Apex Mobile, but unfortunately, as there is no support for the feature, it can be buggy, especially when it comes to customizing your layout.

When controller support arrives, we’ll be breaking down how to use it and the best controller settings to dominate Apex Legends Mobile.
